1. Who eligible to participate the competition?
The competition is OPEN to all malaysian and foreigners without limit of age.
2. How many category in this competition?
There is one category (OPEN) in this competition. However, the registration fee has two categories (Adult & Student).
3. Does the organizer provide any food to the participants?
No, participants may buy food from the restaurant nearby the competition venue.
4. May I register on the day of the competition?
It depends on the number of participants. If it meets its limit then you are not allowed to take part in the competition.
5. May I watch the competition game?
No, non-participants are not allowed to enter the game hall. We provide a hall for companions and encourage the companions to visit our other Convocation events.
6. What if I don’t know how to notate chess steps?
It’s necessary for participants to learn chess notation. Please refer to http://www.fide.com/fide/handbook.html?id=125&view=article If not, action will be taken by arbiter.
7. When do I need to pay the registration fee?
Registration fee can be paid on the first day of competition. Please arrive early to avoid long queue.
8. I do not receive any confirmation after I pre-registered the tournament. So how?
Currently the system is running in perfect condition. If you need confirmation for pre-registeration, you may contact Ng Eng Lik 014-9523298 or fill up the enquiry form.
9. For T-shirt purchase, how can I get the T-shirt?
You have to pay the T-shirt through bank-in before you can collect your T-shirt on 9 October 2010 at UMS DKP A2.
